Beep Privacy Policy

ACS Ltd (“Beep”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) develop the Beep app as a free platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our application and services (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use
Beep does not collect or store user data. Any information processed during your use of the Service is strictly limited to functionality and is not retained by us or shared with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.


Location Services
The Beep app may access your device’s location services for specific functionality. However, it does not collect or store precise real-time location information.

  • Beep Application Users:
    Enabling location services is voluntary. The app leverages iBeacon/BLE to optimise its ability to discover nearby readers. This requires accessing your device’s location services, but no location data is collected or stored.
  • Beep Application with HID Identity Positioning Enabled by an HID Customer:
    In this configuration, the app captures the reader product serial number to provide information about relative presence within a building. The collected details are confined to the facility of the HID customer, and no precise location data is gathered or stored.
    Disabling location services may limit some app functionalities.

Third-Party Service Providers
Beep integrates with third-party services to support app functionality and performance. These providers may process information as outlined in their own privacy policies. Users are encouraged to review these policies for more information:

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Analytics for Firebase

Log Data
In the event of app errors, we collect log data through third-party services. This data may include device details such as:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • Device name and operating system version.
  • App configuration at the time of the error.
  • Usage timestamps.
    Log data is used solely for troubleshooting and improving the app’s performance.

Cookies
Beep does not explicitly use cookies. However, integrated third-party services may utilise cookies for tracking and improving their services. You can manage your cookie preferences through your device or browser settings.

While Beep does not collect or store user data, we are committed to maintaining high standards of security for the services provided. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
